The relationship between incidence of cesarean section and physical activity during pregnancy among pregnant women of diverse age groups: Dose–response meta‐analysis

This study evaluated the impact of physical activity on the risk of cesarean section (CS) in pregnant women, considering age and body mass index (BMI). The findings revealed that physical activity during pregnancy reduced the incidence of CS, with a lower risk observed in overweight/obese individuals than those with normal weight. The incidence of CS was also lower in younger age groups. The study concluded that physical activity during pregnancy could decrease CS rates, particularly among obese individuals, and extend gestational age.
