This study aimed to assess the test-retest reliability of the Multiple Array Probe Leiden (MAPLe) in men with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). The initial study involving 21 men showed poor test-retest reliability, but a second study with 23 men using a stricter protocol showed good test-retest reliability with intraclass correlations ranging from 0.61 to 0.91. The agreement was generally higher for intraday determinations than for interday determinations. The study suggests that a strict protocol is needed to make valid interpretations of the MAPLe device in a clinical or research setting.
