However, not everyone is equally susceptible to gaining excessive body fat. Individuals at the extreme end of the BMI spectrum, characterized by constitutional thinness, have reported complete resistance to weight gain caused by overeating. Exploring this unique group of individuals who remain thin despite overeating could provide valuable insights for enhancing obesity prevention and treatment, as well as improving approaches to addressing cardiometabolic disorders associated with obesity. Such studies hold promise for tackling the challenges posed by the obesity epidemic on a global scale.
