In this cross-sectional study conducted in an interdisciplinary Head and Neck Cancer outpatient clinic, the objective was to identify factors associated with longer wait times and decreased patient satisfaction. According to the study, prolonged objective wait times in the oncology outpatient setting were influenced by various factors, including specific physicians and new patient status. However, when trainees interacted with patients, it resulted in shorter wait times and improved patient satisfaction scores related to wait times. Patient satisfaction with wait time was linked to overall satisfaction and the likelihood of recommending the healthcare provider.
