A network meta-analysis of 70 RCTs (N = 5528) assessed psychological interventions for pediatric PTSD. Trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapies (TF-CBTs) showed the largest reductions in PTSD severity (Hedges g = 1.06), outperforming EMDR, multidisciplinary treatments, and non–trauma-focused therapies at all time points. TF-CBTs with parental involvement were particularly effective. While EMDR and other interventions showed promise, long-term data remain limited.
