Long COVID, a chronic condition affecting 1 in 8 adults post-acute COVID-19, defies a one-size-fits-all treatment. A "Treatable Traits" approach, addressing its complexity, has gained attention. An umbrella review of 22 studies reveals 34 common symptoms. A systematic review highlights 18 studies on prevention and management, with metformin showing potential for prevention. Exercise and respiratory muscle training aid chest and functional limitations. The study on fatigue, psychological pain, and sleep treatments needs more high-quality trials. Consensus on clinical trial endpoints for long-term COVID is essential.
