his nationwide population-based cohort study spanning 2001 to 2018 aimed to assess the risk of skin cancer, nonmelanoma skin cancer, and cutaneous melanoma among AD patients undergoing UV-B phototherapy. Among 6,205 AD patients, the study found no increased risk of skin cancer, nonmelanoma skin cancer, or cutaneous melanoma associated with UV-B phototherapy. Additionally, the number of UV-B phototherapy sessions showed no association with an elevated risk of these skin cancers. These findings suggest that UV-B phototherapy for AD does not increase the risk of subsequent skin cancer.
