The study analyzed the V-PFCRC method for adjusting spot urinary dilution of arsenic, finding it reduced sex and age biases compared to conventional creatinine correction (CCRC). Using 5,752 urine and 1,154 blood/urine samples, the study showed that sex-specific differences in uncorrected (UC) and blood arsenic were neutralized by CCRC and further reduced by V-PFCRC. In contrast, age-related increases in total urinary arsenic (TWuAs) reflected higher arsenic exposure. The sex-differentiated V-PFCRC best matched sex-age kinetics of blood arsenic. This method minimized residual biases and enhanced the accuracy of urinary arsenic assessments, benefiting clinical and epidemiological research.
