The study analyzed data from the German COVID-19-IRD registry to examine breakthrough infections in double-vaccinated patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases (IRDs). Results showed that hospitalization rates were significantly lower in double-vaccinated or triple-vaccinated patients compared to unvaccinated patients, and there was a significant reduction in COVID-19-related deaths in triple-vaccinated patients. The study suggests that COVID-19 vaccination is beneficial for patients with IRDs.
