The cohort study validated the Banff Patellofemoral Instability Instrument 2.0 (BPII 2.0) against the TSK-11, PCS, and ACL-RSI in 107 patients with recurrent lateral patellofemoral instability. Significant correlations were found, indicating that while BPII 2.0 does not directly measure kinesiophobia or pain catastrophizing, it captures related aspects of patient functioning and recovery. These findings support the relevance of BPII 2.0 in assessing the quality of life in this patient population.
