The study aimed to investigate the feasibility of identifying and measuring the normal sacral plexus (SP) using gynecological transvaginal ultrasound (TVS). The study included 326 women, and SPs were successfully identified on at least one side in all women. Bilateral visualization was achieved in 97.2% of women, with no significant differences between the time required to visualize the right and left SP. The median diameter of the right SP was 15.0 mm, and the left SP was 14.9 mm. The authors suggest that integrating the assessment of SP into routine pelvic TVS may be useful for women with deep endometriosis.
