The study of 40 PCOS-WD and 43 PCOS-NWD patients found lower testosterone in PCOS-WD, with adolescent PCOS-WD showing more hyperandrogenism (P = 0.025). Elevated testosterone correlated with worse liver fibrosis (P = 0.039). Copper chelation, with or without progesterone, improved outcomes. Findings highlight the need for PCOS screening in WD and testosterone as a key marker for liver damage.
