The NHS England has introduced an innovative anti-cancer injection, reducing treatment duration by 75%. Administered in just 7 minutes, it's set to benefit hundreds of patients yearly. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency ensures its safety. Typically, patients receive atezolizumab through a 30-minute to hour-long intravenous transfusion. This change improves patient quality of life, saves healthcare professionals time, and affects those receiving atezolizumab as a subcutaneous injection, while traditional transfusions may still be necessary for combined treatments. Approximately 3,600 patients will benefit annually.
